RULES

 

The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at capitalfm.com) apply to ‘Wimbledon’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from 29th June 2009 to 2nd July (“the Duration”).  The "Radio Station" is 95.8 Capital FM.

Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.  The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.

1) Details of the Competition
 
1.1  To enter the Competition an Entrant must call 020 74848958 (the “Telephone Line”).  Telephone calls will be charged at standard network rates.  The opening and closing times of the Telephone Line will be given out on air.

1.2  When instructed on air, entrants need to listen for a particular ‘mixed doubles’ song i.e. a song sung (primarily) by two people. Entrants will then need to call when the relevant song starts (this must be a full version of the song and not a demonstration clip of the song). The entrant which comes through on line 8 of the 12 available in the studio will be selected as the contestant. They will then talk to the presenter for a call which will be broadcast on air. If any fault occurs immediately prior to or during these calls and it is not possible to re-establish contact with the caller, another line will be selected at random. This line may not necessarily be the same allocated line number.

2)    Eligibility
2.1   Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.
 
3)    Prize
3.1   A pair of Wimbledon tickets.   The time and date of the tennis matches that the tickets will allow entry into will be confirmed at the Radio Station’s discretion.


PUBLIC ENEMIES ‘On air competition’ on 95.8 CAPITAL FM

1)       Details of the Competition
 
1.1   To enter the Competition an Entrant must send a text message with their answer to 83958 (the “Text Message Line”). Text messages will be charged at standard network rates.  The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.
1.2   2 x winners will be chosen at random from all correct guesses.
1.3   Winners will be contacted by the station and may be required to talk to the on-air presenters and a call will be recorded with the presenters and played on-air. If any fault occurs immediately prior to or during this call and it is not possible to re-establish contact with the caller, another entrant/s will be selected at random.
 

2)       Eligibility
2.1   Entrants must be 18 years of age or older and be available to collect their tickets from Capital FM studios at 30 Leicester Square London on Monday 28th June prior to premiere commencing.
 

3)       Prize
3.1   1 x pair of tickets to the Public Enemies Premiere at The Empire in London’s Leicester Square.  Doors open 6.00pm, must be seated by 6.45pm. Dress: Smart.  Capital FM cannot be held responsible for Johnny Depp failing to be available for the promised Meet and Greet session at the Premiere.


MONEY FOR THE ENVELOPE (ON-AIR BREAKFAST COMPETITION) on 95.8 CAPITAL FM

RULES
 
The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at capitalfm.com) apply to ‘Money For The Envelope’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from Monday 22nd June to Friday 26th June (“the Duration”).  The "Radio Station" is 95.8 Capital FM.

Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.  The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.

1)       Details of the Competition
 
1.1               To enter the Competition an Entrant must Send a text message with the keyword given out on air to 83958 (the “Text Message Line”). Text messages will be charged at standard network rates.  The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.
1.2               A texter will be chosen at random. They will be required to talk to the on-air presenters and a call will be recorded with the presenters and played on-air. If any fault occurs immediately prior to or during this call and it is not possible to re-establish contact with the caller, another entrant will be selected at random.
1.3               Off air, the caller will pick one of the ten unmarked envelopes (out of the remaining envelopes).  The caller will then be told that Johnny (or a presenter in his place) has that sealed envelope in his hands.  He does not know what prize details are contained within it.  There might be a great prize in there like a trip to Australia or there might be something a bit rubbish like a duster, basically it could be any one of the remaining prizes.  This envelope and prize described within it now belongs to the caller.  Johnny will then offer the caller cash amounts in return for the envelope.  If the caller decides to accept one of Johnny’s offer/s of cash they will win that amount and forfeit the prize contained within the envelope.  If they decline his offer/s then they will win whatever is described inside the envelope.

2)       Eligibility
2.1   Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.

3)       Prize

1.2               A text entry will be chosen from all entries based on a combination of comedy value, originality and being appropriate to the subject as judged by the Capital production team
1.3               The person who sent the text will be required to talk to the on-air presenters and a call will be recorded with the presenters and played on-air. If any fault occurs immediately prior to or during either of these calls and it is not possible to re-establish contact with the caller, another entrant may be selected. 
 

2)       Eligibility
2.1   Entrants must be 16 years of age or older and must be able to be accompanied with someone 18 years of age or older.

The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at capitalfm.com apply to ‘Pay Your Bills’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from Wednesday June 10th to Friday July 10th (“the Duration”).  The "Radio Station" is 95.8 Capital FM.

Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.  The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.
1.Details of the Competition
1.1 To enter the Competition an entrant must go online to capitalfm.com and register their details.  Entrants will only need to register once to be eligible for selection throughout the duration of the contest. Registration will start on Wednesday June 10th and will close at 1pm on Thursday July 9th.

Entrants will be able to choose a category within which their bill falls:   
(i) £100 and less (from which a minimum of 2 contestants will be selected daily)
(i) £100.01 to £250 (from which a minimum of 2 contestants will be selected daily)
(i) £250.01 to £500 (from which a minimum of 1 contestant will be selected daily)
(i) £500.01 to £1000 (from which a minimum of 1 contestant will be selected daily)

Entrants are allowed to place one entry in all four categories.
1.2    Contestants for Tuesday to Friday executions will be selected at 1pm the day before they are broadcast. Saturday, Sunday and Monday contestants will be selected on the preceding Friday at 1pm (ie contestants can register throughout the weekend but will not be eligible for selection until Monday at 1pm).
1.3     Entry will close for the final time at 1pm on Thursday 9th July.
1.4     Competition rounds will take place from Monday 15th June through until Friday 10th July.
Monday to Friday competitions will be conducted between 7am and 7pm,.
On Saturdays the competition rounds will be conducted between 8am and 6pm,.
On Sundays the competition rounds will be conducted between 8am and 4pm,.
1.5    The presenter will read out the NAME, TYPE OF BILL and the AMOUNT of bill. Said person will have half an hour (30 minutes) to contact the station on the studio phone number in order to claim their prize (0207 48 48 958). No other form of communication will be acceptable and this call must be made in person by the named entrant.
1.4    Security checks will be performed when a claim is made to the prize. This will be a combination of address verification and recall of a password supplied by the contestant at point of entry.
1.5    If the contestant fails to contact the station by phone within the specified 30 minutes then no prize will be awarded.
   
2.Eligibility

2.1Entrants must be over 18 to play

2.2Contestants can only play once. Regardless of the amount won, once a contestant has been selected and announced on air they will be ineligible for future selection and the entry will be removed from the pool of entrants to this competition.

3.Prize

3.1The prize will be a cheque to the value of the bill registered online.

3.2 The cheque will be made payable to the individual who registered and completed the on air activity. For the avoidance of doubt the cheque will not be made payable to any other party (including the company with which the bill is held).

2.    Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.  The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.

Details of the On-air Competition:
3.    To enter the Competition an Entrant must send a text message as directed on-air (the “Text Message Line”). Text messages will be charged at standard network rates.  The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.
4.    Each day during the evening show, Capital will play out a sound clip in the style of a tannoy announcement, with someone singing on it, and listeners will be encouraged to text in and identify the song. Entrants will be picked at random from correct answers received.
5.    The selected entrant will be brought to-air will make their guess with the same answer.  If they are correct (again) they will be awarded the prize.
Details of the Online Competition:
6.    There will be a further chance to win one online prize which will be identical to the (Mon-Thurs) on-air prize at Capitalfm.com
7.    Between Monday 8th and 6pm on Friday 12th June, online entrants will be asked to answer a competition question to win the online prize. Entrants will be picked at random from correct answers received.
8.    The selected winner will be contacted after Monday 15th June to arrange fulfillment of their prize.

1.2    Listeners will be played a short recorded clip whereby a song will be ‘shaken up’.  Once this clip has been played listeners will be invited to text in their guess as to the correct title and artist of the song . 

1.3    A correct texter will be selected at random and taken to air to be awarded the holiday.  They will be called during the breakfast show and must be available to come to air during the show to be awarded their prize.

1.The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at capitalfm.com) apply to ‘Wandsworth Palais’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from 2nd may 2009 until further notice.  (“the Duration”).  The "Radio Station" is 95.8 Capital FM.

2.Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.  The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.

4. Listeners will be chosen at random and will notified by phone.

To enter the Competition an Entrant must
1.1 Send a text message with their answer to 83958 (the “Text Message Line”). Text messages will be charged at standard network rates.  The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.
1.2 Johnny Vaughan will pretend to be a Steward on board a plane heading to a daily destination. Information will be given about the destination and then a question will be asked. Listeners will have to text in the word ‘win’ followed by their answers.
1.3 Winners will be determined at random from the correct answers. They will be required to talk to the presenters and a call will be recorded with the presenters and played on-air. If any fault occurs immediately prior to or during these calls and it is not possible to re-establish contact with the caller, another line will be selected at random. This line may not necessarily be the same allocated line number.
Prize
Each week on a Monday only, we will give away a trip to a selected European destination. The destination for each week will be announced on air and will change on a weekly basis.
Prize includes
Flights for 2 people return.
Accommodation in a hotel for 2 people for 2 nights
Spending money £500 to be provided in the form of a cheque
