Brick Lane Curry Festival

In celebration of The Brick Lane Festival Curry is the dish of the day and we have taken a look at some of the best Indian restaurants in London, as recommended by your lovely selves.

You guys know how the London Guide works by now...you go out and eat, drink and be merry and then come back and tell the rest of London were you did it. It has become very clear that Curry is the thing you guys like to do best. Whether it's a take-away in front of the TV or Indian tapas in Soho for a swift working lunch, curry is your cuisine of choice.

With it being Brick Lane Curry Festival this month (from 12th September) we thought we would look at some of the best places you guys have been recommending and have put together a top ten list. Now you may read this and be shouting at the screen...'No, no no! That’s not the best curry, this one is!' so if you think that there is one you have to have on this list let us know. Find your favourite curry house in London and write a bit about it saying why is is so great (or maybe not so great).

The Greatest Indian Restaurants and Curry Houses in London ever!

The Angel Curry Centre , Angel - They call it the 'Finest Indian Cuisine' and you guys are agreeing with them.

The Empress , Whitechapel - Indian in the East (of London that is) and it's the variety of food that has you loving this place.

Parveen Tandoori Restaurant , Islington - Legendary in North London, this little place has you coming back for more and has a whole load of regulars by the looks of it.

Indian Veg Bhelpoori House , Islington - Appearing in our Budget London section this not only gets London's wallets excited but also their taste buds.

Aladin Restaurant , Brick Lane - Brick Lane is littered with Curry houses, this one has you guys spilt but the vote is going towards it being a firm favourite.

New Tayyab , Whitechapel - Another gem of a restaurant in East London, BYO and always busy, a good atmosphere and good eats.

Punjab Indian Restaurant , Covent Garden - Another firm favourite this time in the centre of town. A good place for a lunch time curry, just don't fall asleep at your desk after!

The Veeraswamy Restaurant , Regent Street - 'Scrummy Curry' as one of you has labelled it. An unusual selection of curries that get you all hot under the collar.

Jaffna House , Tooting - Opposite Tooting Station, this curry house offers great cuisine and it's authentic too.

Eriki , Swiss Cottage - Hidden in Swiss Cottage, Eriki shouldn't be forgotten as it delivers tasty food every time. A firm favourite.
