Royworld live session

New band Royworld were guests on Lucio's show. Listen again to their exclusive live session.

First things first, none of Royworld are called Roy - so why did Rod Futrille (vocals), Timmy Miles (keyboards), Gerry Morgan (drums) and Robbie Parkin (guitar) pick such a terrible name? Who knows! They call themselves four musical refugees from different parts of these sceptred isles currently residing in South London.

They've been working with Keane's producers on their debut album Man In The Machine and the list of influences - Kate Bush, Tears For Fears, New Radicals, Peter Gabriel, et al - suggest that here is a band who have heard the big music and aren't afraid to play their brand of it with a radiantly straight bat.

You'll be able to catch them on tour with The Guillemots or at any number of festivals over the summer. They're so far confirmed for Glastonbury, Wakestock, Guilfest, Lounge on the Farm, Nozstock, Sound Island, Perfect Day, Summer Sundae, V Festival and Bestival. That's a lot of singing!

Listen again to their live session here at Capital including a cover of Feist's 1234.
