Hot 'n' Cold: The facts

If you've seen the new Katy Perry video for Hot N Cold, we're sure you'll agree it's a corker.

But watching the video isn't quite complete without these ten fascinating facts. Here they are...

1. The name of the Zebra in the video is Widowmaker and this is Widowmaker's first music video, though he has also appeared in numerous TV commercials.

2. Katy's real mother and father appear in the video as the mother and father of the bride.

3. The bridal party was made up of all of Katy's friends and Markus Moliari, Katy's best friend, plays the Maid of Honor.

4. The groom was Katy's friend as well, a childhood friend - his name is Alex Rodriguez.

5. The church in the video is the First Christian Church and in Studio City. It is the same church where the marriage
scene from "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" was filmed.

6. The warehouse where those scenes were filmed was once was a bakery and from what we were told, smelled terrible!

7. Alan Ferguson, the video director, has also shot videos from Fall Out Boy, Gym Class Heroes, Cobra Starship, and Jewel, among others.

8. Alan has always been entertained by the inflatable tube men you typically see at gas stations, and has always wanted to put one in a music video.

9. The performance piece in the middle of the video was inspired by Teri Nunn, Deborah Harry (Blondie), and Missing Persons. The color palette was inspired by Prince's "1999" video.

10. The choreographer of the video is Showtyme, who has done many of Gwen Stefani's videos and tours, has also worked with Shakira, and is an MTV Award winner for Best Choreographer.

Well after all that, I'm sure you can't wait to watch the video again, so click on the link on the right to see it in full.
